Located west of Lebanon, this through girder bridge carries the Union Pacific over Trestle Road.
Built in 1910, the bridge features a single through girder span, set onto concrete substructures. While the line was originally built for two tracks, the second main track was removed in 1959. In addition, the Scofield Road Bridge, which now resides at Astico Park originally was located nearby just east of this bridge.
The girders on this bridge do not feature a third line between tracks, somewhat unusual for railroad bridges. In addition, the bridge runs at a significant skew over the road below. These style spans were often used to cross creeks and roads, due to the ease of construction and lack of required maintenance.
Missing plaques indicate the bridge was constructed by American Bridge Company, who had gotten the contract to produce many of the girders on this line.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair to good condition, with som,e cracking and spalling on the substructures.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
